গাইবান্ধায় দলিত কিশোরী ধর্ষণের ঘটনায় মানবাধিকার প্রতিষ্টান জাস্টিসমেকার্স বাংলাদেশের উদ্বেগ ও প্রতিবাদ

গাইবান্ধার ফুলছড়ি উপজেলায় বুদ্ধি প্রতিবন্ধী দলিত (রবিদাস জনগোষ্ঠী) কিশোরী ধর্ষণের ঘটনায় মানবাধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠান জাস্টিসমেকার্স বাংলাদেশ গভীর উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছে।

একই সাথে উল্লেখিত ধর্ষণের সাথে জড়িত  ধর্ষনকারীদের অনতিবিলম্বে গ্রেফতার ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবী করেছে জাস্টিসমেকার্স বাংলাদেশ।

বিশ্বস্ত সূত্রে জানা যায় যে, গাইবান্ধা জেলার ফুলছড়ি উপজেলায় উদাখালী ইউনিয়নের বুদ্ধি প্রতিবন্ধী দলিত কিশোরীকে অত্র ইউনিয়নের জনৈক ময়নাল দীর্ঘদিন ধরে প্রতিবন্ধিতা ও দারিদ্রতার সুযোগে ধর্ষণ করে আসছিল।

CCBE urgent to PM of Bangladesh on intensifying threats against lawyer Shahanur Islam

 I am writing to you on behalf of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), which represents the bars and law societies of 46 countries, and through them more than 1 million European lawyers. The CCBE places great emphasis on respect for human rights and the rule of law and is particularly concerned with the situation of human rights defenders around the world.

The CCBE would like to reiterate its serious concern over the death threats against lawyer Shahanur Islam.

According to information we have received, following our letter of early October expressing our concerns about the safety of lawyer Shahanur Islam, we understand that the threats against him have intensified due to his continuous work as a lawyer in defence of human rights.

Bangladeshi activist Shahanur has received repeated death threats!

Shahanur Islam, a prominent human rights lawyer and gay rights campaigner in Bangladesh received repeated death threats SMS over his mobile phone.

Shahanur told to Soja Kotha that recently on 25th August and 6th September 2022, he received separate two death threats messages along with his wife and kid over his mobile phone.

He added, on 25th October 2022 around at 10:17 pm BST, Mr. Islam received threats message in English language over his phone from an unidentified number. The message states that if you don’t stop fighting aims to establishment of homo sexual rights in BD, immediately you will be killed along with your family members brutally.

BIHR and JusticeMakers Bangladesh urge to immediate arrest of those accused culprits who were involved in physical torture of a Trans woman and her mother for extortion in Dhaka.

Bangladeshi human rights organizations Bangladesh Institute of Human Rights (BIHR) and JusticeMakers Bangladesh have expressed deep concern over the incident of physically assault, snatching of gold ornaments, intimidating and threatening to close the parlor and leave the area within seven days to Monika Akhtar Moni (28), a trans woman and owners of Star World Beauty Parlor in Noorerchala bazar under Bhatara police station in Dhaka and her mother Rubina Khatun demanding extortion.

BIHR and Justice Makers Bangladesh have demanded that all the criminals involved in the incident should be identified and arrested promptly and exemplary punishment should be given to those responsible by filing a case against them regarding the incident and providing overall security to the victim trans woman and other members of her family.

ঢাকার ভাটারা থানাধীন নুরের চালা বাজারের স্টার ওয়ার্ল্ড র্বিউটি পারলারের স্বত্তাধিকারী যৌন সংখ্যালঘু রুপান্তরকামী মহিলা মনিকা আক্তার মনি (২৮) ও তার মা রুবিনা খাতুনকে চাঁদার দাবীতে শারীরিক নির্যাতন, স্বর্ণালংকার ছিনিয়ে নেয়া, ভয়ভীতি প্রদর্শণ ও সাত দিনের মধ্যে পার্লার বন্ধ করে এলাকা ছেড়ে চলে যাওয়ার হুমকি প্রদানের ঘটনায় মানবাধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠান বাংলাদেশ ইনস্টিটিউট অব হিউম্যান রাইটস (বিআইএইচআর) এবং জাস্টিসমেকার্স বাংলাদেশের গভীর উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছে।

উক্ত ঘটনার বিষয়ে মামলা দায়ের করে ঘটনার সাথে জড়িত সকল অপরাধীকে দ্রুত চিহ্নিত করে গ্রেফতার পূর্বক দায়ীদের দৃষ্ঠান্তমূলক শাস্তি প্রদান সহ ভুক্তভোগী রুপান্তরকামী মহিলা ও তার পরিবারের অন্যান্য সদস্যকে সার্বিক নিরাপত্তা প্রদানের জোড় দাবী জানিয়েছে বিআইএইচআর এবং জাস্টিসমেকার্স বাংলাদেশ ।
